As we start back to school from break, I would like to say Welcome Back and I hope that you all had an amazing and relaxing break with your family and friends!

This week in math:
We will begin to look at fractions.
Students will learn about fractions and how to recognize what the fraction of something is.
They will be creating pizzas in class to help them learn through the fraction process.
(Look for pictures to be posted of the students work)
*It's important for you child to remember that there is a whole, and remember to count all pieces to find the whole.
This week in science:
We are going to continue to learn about the Solar System and the order of the planets from the sun.
*We will be learning different ways to memorize the order of the planets, so if you hear your child saying funny phrases that's probably what it is.
Remember to continue to work with your child on their multiplication facts and continue to build their fluency.
